Life and Career Reinvention Coaching for Adults 55+ Seeking More Hope, Clarity, Confidence, Purpose, and Possibility.
Welcome to Courageous Conversations
Your Next Chapter Starts Here.
Life has a way of changing the plans we once believed were permanent.
Retirement arrives sooner than expected. Careers end. Relationships change. Children build lives of their own. Dreams you've carried for years begin to whisper again. Sometimes the life you've spent decades creating no longer feels like the life you're meant to be living.
If any of that sounds familiar, you're in the right place.
Your next chapter begins with the courage to talk about what matters most.
Is This You
I work with adults who know there is still more life to live.
Many of my clients are in their 50s, 60s, 70s, and beyond. They have built successful careers, raised families, overcome challenges, and accumulated a lifetime of wisdom and experience. Yet despite everything they've accomplished, they find themselves asking a question they never expected:
"What's next?"
Perhaps you're preparing for retirement but aren't ready to stop contributing. Maybe retirement has already arrived and you're discovering that having time isn't the same as having purpose.
You may be considering a career change, returning to the workforce after time away, or exploring work that feels more meaningful than what you've done before.
Perhaps you're navigating the loss of a spouse, the end of a long-term relationship, becoming an empty nester, or adjusting to changes you never anticipated. You may simply feel that the person you've become no longer fits the life you've been living.
Or maybe nothing is "wrong" at all.
You simply know you're ready for something more.
More purpose. More confidence. More joy. More fulfillment. More of the life you've been postponing.
If you're willing to ask yourself the difficult questions, embrace new possibilities, and take intentional steps toward creating a life that reflects who you are today—not who you were twenty years ago—we'll work well together.
Because it's never too late to rediscover yourself.
It's never too late to reinvent your life.
And it's never too late to write a remarkable next chapter.
Why I Do This Work
I believe real change starts with real conversation. The kind that digs past surface answers, asks better questions, and challenges you to see what’s possible.
I bring both candor and care into coaching—I won’t sugarcoat, but I also won’t let you face it alone. My role is to help you find your voice, your clarity, and your courage.

Testimonials
“Before I began working with Dr. White, I felt like I had quietly reached the end of something important. I was 58 years old, still employed, but deeply unhappy in my work. I kept telling myself it was too late to make a meaningful change. I felt stuck between wanting something different and believing I had missed my chance.
Our first coaching session surprised me. Instead of telling me what I should do next, Dr. White asked questions that helped me remember parts of my career I had almost forgotten. … That conversation helped me realize the moments I valued most in my career were the times I was mentoring and guiding younger colleagues.
In the second session, she challenged a belief I had been carrying around for a long time—that starting something new at my age would make me look inexperienced or irrelevant. When she asked me to list the skills I had built over more than three decades of work, the page filled up quickly. Seeing those experiences written down helped me realize that my years of work were not a limitation—they were an asset.
By our third session, I was no longer focused on what I couldn’t do. Instead, we focused on what small steps I could take. …
What changed the most for me was not just my situation—it was how I saw myself. … I felt useful again, and excited about the ways I could still contribute.
Working with Dr. White didn’t give me answers. It helped me hear my own answers more clearly. And that made all the difference.

— C. Hendricks (Thales/Raytheon)
“I have known Dr. White professionally for over 20 years. Even though it had been 5 years since we worked together, I remained in her network. When I faced a difficult career issue rooted in gender and age discrimination, Dr White provided the guidance, support, and insight I needed to navigate through it. Her wisdom, empathy, and practical strategies empowered me to not only overcome the challenge but to emerge stronger and more confident in my leadership. After following her direction and counsel I successfully navigated a career transition that resulted in a monetary and professional promotion. I am deeply grateful for her expertise and highly recommend her to anyone seeking to address complex workplace issues with grace and courage.”
— T. Watson (Events on Pine)
"I felt like my own life had ended the day I became a full-time caregiver."
"At 67, I found myself completely overwhelmed, exhausted, and deeply resentful. I loved my family, but I felt like a ghost in my own life—as if being a caregiver was a final verdict, a slow death sentence to my own dreams, identity, and peace.
That was until I started working with Dr. Sharon White at Courageous Conversations LLC.
Dr. Sharon didn't just give me standard advice; she helped me navigate the raw, difficult truths I was too afraid to admit to anyone else. Through our sessions, she gently but firmly guided me to realize that choosing myself didn't mean abandoning my responsibilities. She taught me how to communicate boundaries, reclaim my autonomy, and find joy again.
Because of Dr. Sharon, I finally understand that caregiving is a chapter of my life, not the end of my story. I am deeply grateful for her insight, compassion, and the tools that truly brought me back to life."
Margaret D., Age 67
